They're wide open for a class action. Nowhere on their boxes does it say when the expiration is, or even that they do expire.

some great deals; just bought smile for $1 more last week, but probably not worth my time to pm, heh..

anyone know if wb is still doing the, "we don't take expired codes" anymore? in addition to the later pressings not including code sheets at all

I don't think they take expired codes anymore. I purchased a Bugs Bunny 80th Anniversary collection Blu-ray and the expired code was not excepted at multiple places I tried to redeem. I tried contacting their customer service and they says they don't give new ones out or can make the expired code valid.

I did read some people were able to redeem code from the same disc after it was expired but that was before I tried mine so maybe they were allowed to work after 'expired' and I just tried it when they REALLY cut it off for redemption.

Tried to redeem my new Stanley Kubrick 3 movie set and Dunkirk a couple weeks ago. Codes were expired and I emailed them. They said they couldn't do anything.

HBO/Warner Bros/DC has been aggressive in ending digital codes.

It can take me years to finally open a blu-ray to watch and activate the codes.
I have never had an issue redeeming codes, even expired ones (sometimes I would have to thru iTunes vs MA), until Warner Bros this past year- since their merger/restructuring.

Had a bunch of Animated DC blu-rays I bought 2 Black Fridays ago. Some had digital code expirations on the cover, some did not. But none of them worked.
(Normally I would be really pissed about this, but took advantage of the iTunes price deal/mistake on the DC collections which contained most of these.)

I now make sure to open and redeem any codes in blu-rays right away.

Actually some blu-rays do have expiration dates of digital codes on the back cover now.

I kind of assumed a lot of digital codes still worked after expiration precisely because it was never shown on packaging, and studios didn't want to open up the legality of expiration. Especially if the cover says Blu-Ray + DVD + Digital.
Studios/manufacturers began adding stickers with expiration.
Then I noticed that a lot of new blu-rays started having the Blu-Ray + DVD + Digital only on the cardboard sleeve when initially released (often with expiration also listed on back), but the actual blu-ray case not even listing digital anywhere, so further runs can be issued out without the + Digital promise.
And now many are printing expirations on the regular covers as well.

I will not purchase Game of Thrones series without the Digital Offering. It's over $100, and WB or whoever is being ridiculous by canceling those codes.

Most have them printed, but it's really on WB who is actually expiring them en masse. I know Disney stopped allowing some HD codes to be redeemed in iTunes for 4K (Wall-e and Beauty and the Beast live come to mind), but the codes will still redeem in HD in MA, Google, or Vudu. However, WB is now the only one I see putting them on the front of the case too.

Ambulance is the only one I'm curious about but of course it's no longer streaming free. I love Fury Road but have the Blu Ray. I've read the 4k release isn't an upgrade.

Wish the Mad Max 4k came with the Black & Chrome version as well.
