As long as this keeps getting reposted, I'm going to keep bringing awareness to this not killing grubs. See my Amazon review and comments in other threads. You've been warned.

Highly recommend this article from MSU which lists recommendations based on time of year and active ingredients.

It also calls out Spectrum on their false advertising, and links to a 2006 study that showed no better grub control than untreated turf.
Use GrubEx as a preventative and Bayer 24hr Grub Killer as a curative.

I've used this product in past years with good results, but this year, I applied it 3 weeks ago, before half an inch of rain, but my kids and family are still being chomped by chiggers and observing a lot of moths and flying insects coming out of the lawn as we mow or or walk through the grass. Not sure what the difference is this year. I'm planning to try a different product prior to July 4.
Yep...same here.

I applied it right before a nice slow stead 3/4 of an inch of rain fell one Saturday afternoon. This past Saturday, I tried the liquid - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002ITJ...ct_details

I was just out looking again this morning. There are ants just nonchalantly walking all over my sprayed areas. The same areas I spread out the granules a month ago!!!

This stuff does NOT work at all.

Thanks - that's my primary reason - we live on a deer highway.

Can't comment on other bugs, but I use a mixture of vinegar and water (like 1:4 or 1:8 ratio) for fire ants and it gets them to move on/die after only 1-2 applications. Just FYI because a few people mentioned ants specifically.. no harsh chemicals

I bought this about a month ago from amazon when the link was posted and it works great for ants!

I used a whole bag on my front lawn and there have been 0 ant mounds since. Will for sure keep using this every year.

I know this isn't specifically for them, but does anyone know if this will control fire ants? I'm just before napalming the acre-size hill in my yard.
How about diatomaceous earth?

Same price at Walmart I don't think this is a good deal since the reg price is $7.88 only in walmart, Amazon reg price is 2x.

Same. And at this point I'm too afraid to ask.

I once applied GrubEx to my lawn, walked around with latex gloves and was squishing them, one of them blew up and I got Grub juice in my eye... I survived.
