That's an impressive discount but is it really better than the tried and true from 3M? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00004Z4CY/

I'm curious whether the 3M base is solid or has holes like this one.

Scrap pieces of wood and a staple gun, especially for getting into corners and such. But this kind is still good to have.

Sandpaper is solid, what benefits do these holes bring?

I almost bought one but ok. Wood and stapler. I'll write that down.

"this should give more pressure on a cross hatch area of the sandpaper given the same pressure by the user, leading to quicker material removal. Unfortunately, the molding process left a lot of flash around the holes. That causes a lot of lumps under the sandpaper, leading to very uneven sanding."

LOL thanks for pointing out but I didn't understand the term being used in the review point 3. All alien to me....flash and what not. I only know that the grit can be full of wood dust reducing its effectiveness and I just saw Milwaukee with reusable paper with lot of holes. But I still don't know how these holes help with solid paper.

Both waste a decent amount of sandpaper.

This is closer to what you really want: https://a.co/d/6kLCeDV
