No, it won't, at least not for these mobile Processors. There are plenty of reviews of Laptops having same CPU but with DDR4 and DDR% ram. May be you wanna check those benchmarks. The difference between 4800 MHz DDR5 which is the common speed for current DDR5 in laptops and the 3200 MHz DDR4, using same CPU, are marginal at best with some exceptions.
Yes. This will outperform a playstation 5 and Xbox Series X in 1080p gaming because the refresh rate goes up to 144hz which will be super smooth. You should go on Amazon though and get 32 gb of laptop ram to replace the 8gb. You shouldn't pay over $50 for the ram. You then take out the 8gb ram and put in the 32gb. I have bought 3 laptops like this and if you can find them for under $600, they are a steal. Replacing ram is easy to do and will make the computer run super smooth. Go on YouTube if you're unfamiliar. All you need is a screw driver and 3 minutes.
According to this article, Nvidia updated this card to 6GB earlier this year.

Seems like a good price for what it is. Obviously a 4050 and DDR5 would be big upgrades over this, but that would easily add $200-$300.

Needed a new laptop. Not a real gamer, but from time to time will play games. Mostly use it for web browsing. Figure this one is about the same price/not much more than a laptop without a dedicated video card, so I will be able to play games if I want. Compared to everything else out there right now seems like the best deal for what I need. Just got home from bestbuy with it and although too new to tell, so far so good.

One good thing about this gaming laptop for non-gaming usage, is that it has a decent sized 70 WHr battery, compared to 55W-60W battery you normally see in these kind of budget gaming laptops. That will give you better battery life for non-demanding tasks compared to similarly priced other gaming laptops, especially if you use the lower power profiles from the HP Gaming Hub software.

The 3050 video card in this is powerful enough. It will do good as long as you don't run games on highest settings or frame rates. Won't do VR. Not properly anyway.

According to a review I saw there are two ram slots and two spots for what looks like m.2 drives in the 15.6 Victus. Although I'm not 100% sure all Victus models are identical to the one I saw on the review.

The processor is good. It could easily handle Roblox. The thirteenth gen Intel chips, from what I've seen, are very good. However, there are several variations of the thirteenth gen i-5 and this looks like it's the least powerful of the group. That's the only thing that's giving me pause. I wanted to use it for more than just gaming, so I'd like more cores.

But overall it does seem to be really good for the price. It seems very capable. I think you'd be more than good if you're running Xbox game pass, Roblox or steam. Will it last five years? I don't know. Maybe.

Looks decent. RTX 3050 Ti and some 3050 only have 4 GB VRAM, this has 6 GB. Just need to add more RAM to get to dual-channel.

Heck, DDR5 is the end of the line for SODIMM technology since it won't go past DDR5-6400. It's now expected that JEDEC will adopt Dell's CAMM [tomshardware.com] as the standard for replaceable mobile DDR6.

The post says the RTX 3050 has 6GB VRAM. Is that a typo or am I just behind with the times and there is a 6GB variant of the RTX 3O50.

Bought one of these for a friend for normal daily and office type applications. I5 cpu with 8 cores and 12 threads and I don't expect it to do a lot of gaming but as a regular business or home laptop it's been wonderful so far. 8GB of memory is just OK. Needs to have at least 16GB of memory as an upgrade. Backlit keyboard is bright but bright is better than not having backlight at all. I got it at Best Buy for $500 a few weeks back. Look around for a better price if you have time. Once you remove all the BLOATWARE or just rebuild WIN11 from the Media Creation Tool it's a nice unit. If I didn't have a older OMEN laptop I would buy one for myself in a heartbeat.

One more thing, while I pointed out that I wanted more cores.
Nanotech says that this 13th gen processor with 8 cores is equal or better than a 12th gen with twelve cores.

If you can get an education discount, HP sells this in their edu store with a slightly more powerful i5-13500H with 12 cores for an additional $50.

Really tempted, there are very few times I kick myself that I dont have a lite weight gaming laptop for when I travel we are talking about maybe twice a year... Been heavily debating about getting a ROG Ally and now this popped up. Ram and SSD is definitely on the light side, so counting those upgrades price is already at the ROG level...
