Edit: YMMV, I guess, as some are not seeing the $2.29 price - but it does definitely show up for me. Guess I need to be buying a few hundred of these and reselling
2nd EDIT: Figured it out, I think, maybe. $2.29 is through Amazon Fresh. When I change it to my sister's address, where Fresh is not available, changes to the $10 price.

But the loose garlic from every supermarket that I'm familiar with is sourced from California, and substituted with the purple stuff from Mexico in the offseason. The multipacks of the smaller sized whole garlic in the mesh bags might be from China. At the retail store level in the US, i'd say most garlic is domestic. The jarred stuff makes up a small percentage of our sales. No idea what restaurants and other industries typically use tho.
