Posted this in the last thread. Yes it has ddr cache..
A person in that same thread posted pictures

https://imgur.com/a/UGydVxW <- said it had 128MB of DDR3. See the second picture with the Nanya chip next to the realtek.

I took my sticker partially off and both of them show the same thing.

If I hadn't already bought this though I'd buy the Acer for 51$ more.. 2x speed and more tbw

It will not work with ps5. Ps5 requires pcie gen 4 and read write of 5500. This is pcie gen 3.
Thank you!

I think this (and other high capacity) SSDs will go down in price over the summer. Especially now that several companies are no longer making 256GB and lower SSD drives any more. A lot of the 512GB SSD drives are close to what the 256GB drives cost a couple months ago.

It is a Nanya 1GB DRAMM -> https://www.nanya.com/en/Product/...64M16GP-DI
Those specs say 1Gb (Giga-BIT) which is 128MB (Mega-BYTES).

I predict we'll see more 4TB models with lower prices than this by July

Is this fast enough for an I7 12th gen that does a lot of Lightroom photo editing?

I picked this up for an external drive. The sustained writes are great and I'm usually limited other factors beyond this drive. I got tired of hitting the cache limit on the other crucial/sandisk/Samsung external ssd's so I went with this and a usb 4 enclosure. Sure there are faster Nvme drives out there, but this one was better than the crucial Nvme for sustained writes so I went with it and have been happy.

About fcking time. Samsung, SK Hynix and Micron have been milking everyone with high-priced SSDs at 1-2TB for so long it's a miracle SSDs are starting to move up in capacity. Hard drives are approaching 16-20TB at the consumer level but thanks to those three scummy companies most people still have only 1-2GB SSDs.

Or 2400TBW, which sounds much less exciting than PBW. Haha.
