I have a WD that has better stats than this across the board (not by much), got it new for $60 recently. I have this exact same SSD too, in benchmarks the WD checks out, it's not just marketing and again, for $60.
The Fanxiang a faster drive than this Samsung, and at 1,700 TBW has a higher endurance than the Samsung too, that is just 1,200 GB. This Samsung is up to 7,000 MB/sec reads but the Fanxiang is 7,400. The Fanxiang also includes the heatsink, for $91. The apples to apples comparison: the Samsung 2 TB with heat sink, is $169.99 on this same deal page at Newegg. $80 for a slower 1 TB with less endurance without a heat sink, is simply not worth it.
