At least when you order direct, you'll know you're get the genuine Monoprice Indio Cali Classic and not some cheap knockoff

Okay so the real question is, how does this play? I'll answer that, I own three of these. The action is a little high, sometimes you get a little feedback from, what I assume is, poor soldering of the input jack connection, but overall for under $60 I would get naked, cover myself in peanut butter, and run from the cops in downtown NY. So yeah, I'll let you all decide.

I have the telecaster. Well worth the money. Probably the best guitar under $100.

The fact that you're getting a playable instrument for $60 after tax is astounding.

That's equivalent to about $38 in 2003, 20 years ago. The only guitars $38 would get you then were dangerous.

I have one of the old Monoprice California Classic strat copies that has been a great vehicle for mods and plays very well.

That said, you can't get classic vibe squiers, or really any squiers, at this price point

Both of my Indios have had decent frets and decent enough hardware.

I kind of want one of these just to have a guitar to throw some .007s on. Buddy bought me a pack of Ernie Ball .007s as a gag gift but putting them to use could be fun.

I need another (especially cheap) guitar like I need a hole in my head, but for like $62 shipped I just couldn't resist. I'm sure I'll wind up giving it away to a friend of family member after making it a decent player.
