I've had the 737 and this 747 on my "to buy" list, but since I'm not really needing it until September for traveling, I'm hoping that this is just the first of many price drops so I'll take the chance and skip this one for now.

The only thing I'm hating about these chargers is having to either remember the port combinations for most efficient charging, or putting stickers/labels on it to remember, and if I remember hearing it right from review videos, the texture of the 747 may make it difficult for stickers to stay on, might be wrong.

I agree it is a bit annoying. I think this one the best way to think about it is the USB Type-C port closest to the Type-A port are often coupled together and limited to 24W. Try to stick to the 2 Type-C ports further away for a computer.

Wow now that I look at the diagrams and see the pattern, that's a great reminder. Thanks for the tip!

It's still a bit of a pain to remember all that, but I do like how my 3 port Aukey (2C+1A) charger has 2 marks on the USB C ports. One has a laptop and the other has a PD marking so I know the laptop marking is the high powered port. It would be nice if Anker marked their chargers.

I kinda dislike how Anker tends to market all this "intelligent allocation". It's not always that smart. Older chargers like 60W or 65W chargers would frequently split 30/30 with a laptop and phone/tablet even though the laptop probably would be better served with 45/15. I remember preferring to charge the laptop alone and then to plug the phone off the laptop and sacrifice slightly slower phone charging speeds to keep the laptop getting as much power as possible.

Anyhow, I just had the charger for 2 days so I need more experimenting in terms of charging multiple devices to see if there are any weird quirks.
