or just stick with 1080p gaming, and get a true value card like 6600. 4k gaming is just more pixels and honestly isnt worth it right now. ill upgrade in a couple years at less than half current prices.

It's 1% faster than the RTX 3090 Ti ($1200+) and 9% faster than the RX 6950 XT ($800+). It's also a 300w card vs 450w for the RTX 3090 Ti. Since it's new and seems to have been rushed a bit, I'd also expect additional gains from driver updates compared to previous gen.

Edit: Also the MSRP for the 7900 XT is $900, not $1000 like the Amazon listing is showing, so it's really only $20 off , which is about a 2.2% savings.
