FYI the yellow paint on these will scratch with every use and get all over your workspace and whatever you're cutting. Sawzalls are typically used to size items bound for dumpsters but figured y'all should know.

By far the worst overpriced metal I've put on my tools. Even free I don't like this blades. As previously mentioned yellow on all your cuts and the metal cutting blades are so brittle they make Harbor Freight look like competent alternatives.

If your comment is based on the fact you're already wedded to the Dewalt ecosystem, I completely understand.

However, if your feeling is that Ryobi is somehow inferior, I would encourage you to reconsider. I own 5 Ryobi tools, my favorite by far is the brushless reciprocating saw. I paid full price a couple of years ago. I use it to prune branches and (formerly, when I still had a fireplace) to cut up pallets and miscellaneous for firewood. It does a stellar job.

My son, who used to wrinkle his nose up at Ryobi, changed his mind when he visited his boss's house and found he had a serious collection of Ryobi tools and his boss is a pretty serious woodworker and can easily afford whatever he wants.

Just my 2 cents.

Most reciprocating saw blades have the same shank. Unless you are joking and want the blade to match the tool. Though I prefer unpainted blades so the paint doesn't come off on my work.

I wasn't joking. What I meant was that I have DeWalt tools and batteries already - just not a reciprocating saw.

I don't have any feelings about Ryobi. Maybe I should just split my collection and start getting Ryobi for the tools I don't have since they seem to come up here so much more often.
