We buy a lot of organic especially for our kids but more and more I'm finding out organic doesn't mean what most of us think it means. Just one example: https://www.scientificamerican.co...ntional-f/

That article basically says there was no difference in nutrition between organic and conventional. People buy organic (I assume) to not have pesticide residues but presumably conventional would have the same or better nutritive value as it's better protected from pests and fertilizer can be more easily controlled.

How long does flour last, in general? Amazon is notorious for having great deals on things that expire in a short period of time. Sure, you can return it, but they're banking most of us won't.

Even people that don't eat Organic, should only eat organic wheat flour. Wheat is inundated with Roundup.

Uhh. Unless it's tapioca, rice, almond or some other exotic flour, it's wheat... There's also corn in popcorn.

Eating organic or non organic flour is not gonna kill you today, tomorrow, or 10 years from now. You have a greater chance of dying from other causes than consuming different flour.

Nutrition might be the same but there is definitely something different between regular flour and organic flour. My wife cannot eat even the unenriched, whole wheat flour, without experiencing bloat and discomfort. But the same recipe made with organic flour results in no issues. I've heard others have had the same experience.

This is a good price. It beats the price for AP unbleached store brand flour at Kroger. I think I get a better price per pound at Costco, but that's a 25 lb bag and they don't carry AP unbleached.

Sounds like a fun challenge. I'm in for one to see how they ship it. If they keep sending them in padded envelopes exploded, free flour for life.

Will see when I actually get it with subscribe and save, maybe I-4 weeks lol.

Thanks OP! I use unbleached flour to do a weekly feed of my sourdough starter and this is an excellent price.

If you seal it tightly in ziploc freezer bags and store in your freezer, it should be good for up to a year.
