This was $10.65 back in November of last year https://dealquestnow.online/share/android_app/fp/681892

Mentioning this because obviously these have never been worth $45. I'm not saying that wasn't once a price, just that they are mediocre bits.

You can see in the reviews that you'll only make it a millimeter or two into aluminum before needing to replace the bit.

That is, if you don't use cutting oil like those dumb reviewers. But if you do use a lot of cutting oil they'll easily go through aluminum.

Does it make sense to buy this? I have bought a few over the years but hardly used the bigger sizes in the box.

I have this set, it's great IMO. Maybe not as good as cobalt or diamond tipped bits, but titanium bits are solid. I haven't had any bits break on me yet. The case is nice and compact too.

Is this suitable to drill metal such as aluminum? I need some masonry drill bit for concrete too.

I bought the cobalt set from Bosch, I think titanium drill bits are waste of money

If you're drilling metals, I wholeheartedly agree. But Cobalt toughness is somewhat wasted if someone is only drilling through 2x4s. Though unlike the coated bits or those with odd tips, like in this deal, they can be resharpened.

According to the camels, that set has been $29 most of the year, so people might not want to buy at the current price.

Amazon has now got into the business of inflating prices and then fooling people that they are getting a fantastic deal...this has been about the regular sale price of this item in Lowes and Home depot many times !!!! And i got it at about this price a few months ago !!!

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank ShushiiT

These get dull or can't cut once the edges wear out; it's only titanium coated so if it chips then the cutting blade will force you to step up to larger sizes; it's rare to have 1/2" though so that's a good thing that these still have it and they have updated container which isn't a hazard to your fingers when getting it out

The "pivot point" is too shallow and continually spins and burns whatever you might use it on if you don't allow it to actually drill into the material to bite first
