This seems like a good deal. Was originally looking for a 650, but looking at history really only showed that being cheaper when it was on Newegg with rebate. And this provides some GPU flexibility.

Almost 2 years ago, I got this same model for around $146.

Is this good enough for an RTX 3080 Ti?

Yes, my 3090 pulls around 300-330 watts under full load.

EVGA recommends 750W or higher for the 3080 Ti FTW3.

My eVGA 3080 Ti with a R9 5950 pulls just shy of 600w at the wall. I'd want an 850w (what I have) for a bit more headroom and efficiency personally.

Quick question to the wizards in here, I have a Pavillion 570-p056, is it possible to keep this PSU outside the case and use this as an external power supply as this probably wont fit inside the case ?

As soon as I bought my corsair RM, the coil whine on my 3090 stopped.

I've done it in the past, Just make sure it has proper ventilation and that you are are plugged into a properly grounded outlet.

Me too. I always go big with the PSU. I use a Corsair RM1000x 80 Plus Gold. I run an 80Ti FTW3, 5900x, Dark Hero. 360mm Capellix with 12 corsair rgb fans. My 13yr old is using the same card with an 8700k rig I handed down to him with an 850W gold corsair psu. No issues.

I always look at the efficiency curve and I aim for that
