Best price doesnt make a deal, especially when you're talking just 12 bucks below avg like is the case with this "deal."

Something like this would do quite well too. In fact, it's one of the best sub-100 grinders (used to be ~$70 pre-pandemic) you can buy.

Gaggia machines are very simple (which also makes them extremely reliable) machines.

This one has served me for about 6 years (purchased in 2007! with 25% off Amazon Amex deal - remember those? Big Grin), and it's still going strong at one of my friend's homes https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0001KO9RE - the Classic is its relative in many respects, particularly on the pump, boiler and portafilter side. Definitely not the cheapest machine ever, but will serve one well.

Remember to descale regularly Smilie

I use the Capresso grinder for the Keurig, and it's been a workhorse, but I wasn't happy with my espresso until I got the Gaggia MDF (yes, the doser sucks, and there are better alternatives).

WRT the deal, this is lukewarm. Only available on the stainless version as well - the colors offered look much better and can coordinate with your kitchen if you got that kinda thing going. Recently I debated between the Gaggia Classic Pro and the Gaggia Brera super automatic. Different classes of machines, yes, but both are at good entry points of their respective markets. I went with the Brera because I wanted to reduce the amount of time and effort to make a good cup of espresso. Paired with a set of double walled glass espresso cups, this is the perfect machine for us. I recognize the quality of the shot would be better out of the Classic Pro, but the Brera can go from cold to pouring an espresso and frothing milk in less than 2 minutes. Truly wonderful. We've had it for about 2 months now and we couldn't be happier. Just thought I'd leave this note for anyone researching these machines.

Have had this for 5yrs. Paid 350 maybe then. Clean and de-scale it or you'll be like me and need to . Tak le it apart for maintenance, was simple enough but took a few hrs. Works fine with my cheap burr grinder from a Costco sale a while back. Can get a great espresso consistently.

Sorry, seems like the father's day promo is no longer available. But they seem to have similar promotions kind of often. I bought it about 5 days ago amd the promo was good.

One of the best smaller home espresso machines you can get. Between this and the more expensive Rancilio Silvia, the Silvia has better and more power steam and a larger modding community - but the Silvia is nearly double the price!

The Gaggia Classic is great for those starting out or not interested in modding.

Remember to maintain your espresso machine - the Silvia I just bought had black sludge and scale built up in the boiler and had a completely clogged up steam wand. Citric acid works, or get commercial descaling solution which is largely citric acid with some surfactants.

This is a decent machine, but what made me choose something else are:

1. Aluminum Boiler - There are arguments of possible health concerns. Not everyone cares so it's up to you

2. Lack of PID and Gauge - Makes it a little harder to do fine tuning, though you can always modify your machine with a PID controller

Otherwise I heard great things about the machine.

I decided with the Lelit Anna. Only downside is the odd sized Porta filter

Just curious as to what did you end up choosing. I currently have a Breville Barista Express and was looking to get the Gaggia but your comment about the aluminum boiler got me concerned. Apparently the Breviile has aluminum boilers too
