There's the main box / warning light / warning siren that you mount wherever, and a small sensor that just sticks on inside of the garage door where it is vertical closed / horizontal opened. Only mod I made was toning the warning chime down a bit with some tape.
Inexpensive, works as expected, and easy to install. Pretty much nothing I buy checks all of those boxes together.
I would not pay more for bluetooth if all it does is make setup easier. Setup is easy without it and the "old" version has a good reputation. I'm cranky but I see adding bluetooth as just another added chip or modified chip that isn't as proven. No way I'd pay more for it.

That's the main drawback of the MyQ system as it doesn't fully integrate into Ring. My old ADT Pulse garage opener allowed me to open/close the garage within the app, which is much more accepted by my wife. Oh well.

My garage is separate for some dumb reason (3 year old home) the builder put in detached garages. Most of these smart 3rd party garage openers don't work with the newer models of openers. I had the black version and it stopped working and support was no help (no fault of their own). So then I switched over to Meross and that too stopped working as well. At least it notifies me but the open/close no longer functions.
I'm about to the point of just switching over completely to a smart opener.
