Experience greater power, range, and speed. With an internal and external lithium ion battery, ES4-800 has a top speed of nearly 15.5 mph and a range of up to 28 miles. The bar for high-performance e-scooters has been raised.

Did you purchase an aftermarket dash? Did going back to the stock dash resolve your issue?

Which seller did you end up going with?
I did purchase an aftermarket dash. Err14 is related to the throttle. Maybe the connection is loose. I will have to disassemble and check. If it does not resolve then yes I will switch back to original dash. And if that does not work then probably will either return or contact warrant company.

Just found this for error 14, worth a try.

How all I supposed to access the dash? I see four screws on the stem (?) Near the handlebars, but the screws are im of a different size from what's included with the scooter. Are these the four that I should be focusing on? What's the name of the screw? I have a head that looks similar but the tool has an indentation in the middle.

I've tested the scooter, have bluetooth connectivity in the app, all seems good and I bought the Walmart warranty. Is there any reason for me to keep the large box that it came in?

Gotcha. I was doing a simulation of sorts by holding the wheel up and accelerating it starts at 22 initially but then stabilizes at 18. That's plenty enough for me.
So was it worth the hassle of jail breaking it for an extra 2/3mph?

This isn't jail breaking, this is stock retail speed. Even if the speed doesn't matter much just having the Bluetooth connectivity, lighting control and latest firmware updates make it absolutely worth it for such an easy changeover. If you think about it, using the scooter in the condition it was shipped to us is really the jail broken version of sorts, only that it is jail broken to a lower performance instead of what the manufacturer recommends.

Totally makes sense. I was only thinking the speed was the noticeable difference. Personally since my scooter connects to Bluetooth and I can control lights already, do you think the updates provide anything else noticeably different, like range or battery life? I would love to unlock the full potential but just weighing the differences. Thanks!

I'm trying to take off the handlebars/dashboard from the stem, but the allen wrench that came with the scooter is slightly too big undo the 4 security allen screws on the sides (the kind with the pin coming up from the middle of the screw). what size bit did you need to use?

Mine seems busted now. After start up the red gear icon will show up. 14mph will show on the screen. And it will go into some sort of a reboot infinite loop about every 2 seconds, beeping all the while. Not sure what's wrong. It's just been sitting in the garage.

May have to swap back to the original dash.
Err 14 was a malfunction in the throttle. I took it apart and put back together. All good now. I think the throttle cable was coming loose. I taped them this time.

Thanks! That didn't help Frown. But after taking apart I think it was a loose cable. Which I think is what the slamming on the ground can potentially help with. My throttle and brake cables don't snap in. So I went ahead and wrapped them in electrical tape.

What's the average range people are getting on this 28 mile range scooter?

I had this issue where it didn't fully snap in, look at the pins for the throttle and brake, one of them might be split open so it's not allowing you to snap it, I found out this was due to the other end (dashboard end) having some residual plastic in one of the ports. You just need some very fine pliers to push both halves of the pin back together and use something like a sewing needle to pick off that residual plastic on the other end (dash).
