Experience greater power, range, and speed. With an internal and external lithium ion battery, ES4-800 has a top speed of nearly 15.5 mph and a range of up to 28 miles. The bar for high-performance e-scooters has been raised.

One scooter gives a white color underneath. The other flashes different colors.

Both can't be updated when using the app. Hmm

Just not when going down a steep incline. All other times it's okay. ?
Correct, there are reports of it burning out when going above the max indicated speed, so going downhill would easily pass that if you were full throttling all the way down too.

Looks like after flashing the dash and updating the serial, I'm still maxed at 9mph for Sports mode? Or is that indicator for only eco mode? And my bms also updated to 1.4.9 as well. My battery updates fine on the app from the unit. Was this an issue for others?

It's also stuck on trying to update Bluetooth connection to 1.9 or something?? That update keeps coming up so I'm assuming it is failing there as well.
Red S is Sports mode. Yes, some were having issues updating the BMS with an aftermarket dash.

For those waiting for my update with an OEM dashboard, here it is.

Those who purchased an aftermarket dash could not update the BMS. but had access to all other retail functions, with an OEM dash, I was able to update the BMS (I believe the latest is 1.4.9?). Also, someone gave me a great tip, but wanted to confirm it on my end, if you can borrow an OEM dash from someone, you can update everything and then change back to your previous dash (if you were lucky to get a BT enabled one), all retail functions will still remain on the scooter.
Thanks for the update. Glad to hear it worked out. Have you noticed any difference after updating the BMS?

Not sure if you've posted it already; mind sharing the link to the OEM dash?

I wonder if the green circuit dash that came with the scooter is OEM as well? I plan to tinker with it but don't have a solder handy.

I haven't ridden it much at al, so can't tell you. The seller I purchased from actually ran out, it was their last one. The refurbisher seems to have used aftermarket ones, since you should've been able to update the FW without any hassle if they were OEM.

What are the known benefits of updating the BMS?

Besides having the latest one, not too sure, all I wanted was retail functions back. When I purchased the OEM one, no one had an aftermarket dash available so it wasn't known if those worked.

So you're saying if you take it out now and put your purple dash back in, everything persists?

Yes, all retail functions still work when I put back my old dash in.

So if I source one OEM dash, I can use it for multiple scooters. Very cool.

We could even do a "train" on slickdeals where we send from one user to the next LMAO

If someone's interested in buying my OEM dash (still new, just used it to update), let me know.

Thanks for the update and the wiki. I was able to install the aftermarket dash (thanks gtboosted for the link). Was able to connect and update firmware. Confirmed that BMS will not update. Was then able to change SN and regain all retaill functionality.

Firmware is 1.6.2
BMS is 1.3.6 (not updated)
Can lock and unlock via app
Lights are changeable via app
Speed updated to max 18mph
Double clicking on dash changes speed mode (no S, white S, red S)

Like someone said before the speed mode screen on the app is in Chinese but it does work. Has anyone figured out how to change it to English?

Some things for you to consider: if there are any further updates, you might not be able to update on your own.

Also what's top speed you're getting now?
