I tried to use mine to grind coffee beans, it didn't quite get them ground up enough, but if it was weed it would probably be fine. Makes a mean hummus too!

I got one of these when my kid was a baby. Whenever he showed interest in what we were eating, some went into the chopper and that's what he ate. We never bought any baby food. Just used that, and what we were having.

He started showing interest early. My wife was concerned that we weren't feeding rice cereal and jarred fruit. I explained how diabetes works, and that not many other countries have 'baby food' and just feed their kids their food.

20 years later, he eats everything and the one big feature he had as a friend was that he'd get other kids to try stuff. Parents loved him. He's tall and thin and enjoys all sorts of food. He's always been in the bottom 1% of his age groups weight.

Fun at restaurants too. One owner of a sushi place fell in love with him and would bring him small plates with all sorts of bizarre things and it all went right down the hatch. Smart, because then every other kid in the place that saw it started asking to order things.

Other great tool that I still use today, and it's free, is take a regular fork, stick the end of the tines into a vice and bend it to 90 degrees. Most excellent small masher. If it wouldn't mash, it went into the food processor. I use it for small amounts of mashed potatoes, tuna and egg salad.

No way this machine dices onions like that. Might shred them but that's it.
