This thing is pretty nifty. I bought it for $14 about 2 years ago, and i use it with Harbor Freight, Energizer, and Amazon Basics AA and AAA batteries. Only once had an issue where a battery was giving an error, but I think it was fluke because im still using all my batteries. Since I mainly use them for Xbox controllers, wireless headphones, mice, etc, ive found it's easiest to keep like 10 in rotation, so when two or 4 go dead, you just throw em on the charger for a few hours and you're good. The finish charging beep is decently loud, but probably wouldnt be audible outside the room you have it in. Def recommend if you're thinking of getting into rechargeables vs disposables.
