For those that bring up that Ali Express has it for less. Those chains are most likely fake. Amazon even has issues of selling fakes because they mix 3rd party sellers stock with their own stock. Bike Tires Direct is a legit company.

Good deal, although this chain is currently the same price at other major (and legitimate) online bike parts retailers, including Competitive Cyclist [competitivecyclist.com] and JensonUSA [jensonusa.com]. Either of those will also get you free shipping if you buy two of these chains.

Also checked my LBS, same price. Sale may be coming from Shimano's side.

KMC Z7 chain on Centurion IronMan. Only use 4 gears (65-75 crank rpm). No problem reaching 6000 miles. Clean and lube (75W-90 gear oil) every 150 miles. $8 before Covid.

Avoid chain stretch by dropping to a lower gear to maintain +60 crank rpm.

You cannot use a 7s chain on anything with more than 7 gears (always counting cassette sprockets)

Incorrect. Works fine up to 8 speed (difference of 0.2 mm). +10 speed uses a smaller chain due to the fixed width of the rear hub...130 mm for road, and 135 mm for newer road and mountain. Assuming the same metallurgy, an 8 speed drive train will always last longer than a 10 or 11 speed drive train.
