I personally owned this edger for years until I switched to the cordless version [amazon.com] a while ago. If you are in the 40v line, I highly recommend the cordless one, its a beast.

However, it (the cordless one) is not on sale, and the corded one works just fine. Just be sure to get a big enough cord.

For a 12-amp tool like this, a 16-gauge cord is suitable for shorter distances, but for lengths over 50-100 feet, a heavier duty 14-gauge cord (or bigger) is often recommended to ensure the motor does not get fried. Enjoy!
