They've been busy buying reviews

They're in a bunch of those paid for top 10 lists however I have no personal knowledge of this one

This seems to work well and I've used it on many cars. But recently they've updated the app and now it requires giving them your email to scan for codes. It worked fine without this, so I can only assume they are hoping to spam users or sell the info to make a few more dollars.

I bought a "Kingbolen Ediag Elite Car OBD2 Diagnostic Scanner Tool" on fleabay. Lots of tests and resets for like 90% of all cars out there. Scotty K liked the OP one when it came out, but was really impressed with the Kingbolen Ediag Elite Car OBD2 Diagnostic Scanner Tool just a few months ago.. . I have a 2005 caravan that I tested a few functions like turning the radiator fan on and off to get a feel of the thing. Seems to program keys too..

Gear Wrench now also makes a BT dongle for around a hounded bucks too that seems to be a true bidirectional tool as well.. Youtube them all b4 buying.. Make a list of cars you need it to work for and go to the tools manufacture web site to make sure it will work on your car first..

I bought this in November 2023 for $100 and I am happy with the purchase. It gave me a full scan report with recommendations on what the error codes are and tips on how to fix them. It allowed me to clear my engine code errors without issue. App is very GUI based and worked without issue with iOS device. I would buy again.

If you want to go budget, get a veepeak or something similar. I can't imagine why most people would need to spend more just to read and clear codes.

I have this, and it works pretty well. It can clear airbag codes which some less expensive readers can't, and it can also scan a lot more systems that the lower end ones.

It also gives you recommendations of what might be wrong. It's honestly probably the best around this price point
