We're looking at $450 asus vivobook 226v + oled, 16gb 8533mhz + 130v gpu which is ON PAR with this 680m gpu laptop, but 226v is WAY faster single thread.

My minimum screen size requirement was 15.6" when I was shopping laptops. I bought this a couple of weeks ago and just got around to actually using it. I am trying to move data from my old laptop so not much feedback on usage now. It seems fast. I find the text to be small in highest resolution. One odd thing is the numeric keypad doesn't have an enter, +, -, or "." buttons Seems lightweight compared to my 5-year old laptop. So far so good.
I am only using this for web browsing, Quicken, Excel, Word and nothing CPU intensive. I am not a gamer buf for what it's worth, here is a summary I found on review of Ultra 5-226V.

The Intel Core Ultra 5-226v generally offers superior CPU performance, particularly in single-threaded tasks, while the Ryzen 7 6800H excels with its more powerful integrated graphics, making it a better choice for gaming and other GPU-intensive workloads without a dedicated GPU. However, the specific performance of a laptop depends on the overall build, including the dedicated GPU (if any) and other components.
This price is crazy. We're looking at $450 asus vivobook 226v + oled, 16gb 8533mhz + 130v gpu which is ON PAR with this 680m gpu laptop, but 226v is WAY faster single thread. This needs to be at least another $100 cheaper.
Seems like a great deal. Can anyone vouch for this brand though? I've never head of NIMO. AI ranks it par with Apple and HP but then again, it's AI.
All brands laptop are manufactured in same plant . Only thing is the cheaper ones are made with class C electronics vs class A electronics. Google class a vs class c if u don't know what it means .. it's the same difference between Costco and Sam's or cooper and gold..

All (literally) of the ASUS products (laptops + tablets) I bought are really bad in either design or performance. I stopped buying Asus products a couple of years ago.

Lots of 1* reviews complaining that they were sent "new" computers with expired warranties. Probably doesn't matter on one of these machines since there probably won't be much actually warranty, but the seller has a lot of negative reviews.
