For those wondering, the battery powers the ignition source and the fan. The fan can also be powered by a cord. A propane tank is required for the heating fuel. I own one of these and got it for around $80-90 (refurb) on a DTO deal and it has been great for a quick heating of the garage. A 4.0ah battery lasts quite long.

I have a dewalt electric propane heater that I got a few years back, and kinda wish I would have gotten one of these. I'm sure mine is comparable, but it's usually used in the winter to help with frozen pipes around my neighborhood. Dealing with extension cords in freezing temps, and snow tends to suck.

Different products, but a couple years ago on Slickdeals there was a forced air propane heater for about $30 on clearance at the end of the season. It was an Amazon deal. So I have a Mr. heater version of this. I'm thinking it's somewhere around 35k to 60k BTU. Not very quiet. Not the one I have. But it outputs insane heat. I don't think it's really appropriate to use in an occupied living space even though the propane does burn mostly clean. If you need to heat up a garage to thaw out a car for some reason, these things are amazing. The one thing to remember though is you get a ridiculous amount of moisture that's produced by the combustion of the propane. Not a bad thing in winter, but that condensation has to be dealt with.

Used my Chase Hyatt card for 10% back , about $9.50 since the 10% is supposed to apply even to the sales tax
