There a few reviews, some talk about them failing within a year.

Probably YMTC TLC with a Tenafe TC2200 controler. My similar Netac drive performance wise this is competitive with my newish MP44L on 3DMark Storage, so this is probably a reasonably well preforming mid-range DRAM-less drive and much better than the cheap QLC drives which have popped up under $100. Not nearly as fast as my SN770.

I think the issue is that they use components that failed QA or borderline.

I think all of you guys should take every review on here or on websites with a grain of salt

Kingspec isn't popular in the US because it's dominated by WD, crucial, Samsung and sandisk so the ssd market is over saturated here. But Kingspec is extremely popular in Asia so it isn't just some unknown brand. Believe it or not I only had issues with Sandisk sd cards and etc.

Personally Kingspec is my favorite brand. I have 3 of the Kingspec xg7000 on my legion go, my laptop and desktop and have no issues.

The title of the listing on Newegg says PS5, but not sure how true that is.
