I've had a bosch dishwasher fail, but know of zero Samsung appliances owners that had positive experiences with them. literally none.

Their bespoke like is actually highly reviewed. Given it's new, longevity is still YMMV but expectations are that these last quite a while.

I own one and so far it's given me no problems. The ice machine in the freezer with a scoop is such a nice touch. And the water carafe is an unexpectedly "must have" for future refrigerators... we use it multiple times a day. It's the most convenient feature I've had on an appliance in such a long time.

I'll let you know one right now. I've owned the same Samsung front-load washer since 2009, no issues at all. Its matching dryer died only a year ago because of me installing an after market heating element that shorted it out. I bought another Samsung dryer to replace it. I owned a Samsung gas stove at my old house for 5 years that I bought new and used until I sold the house, no issues either.

This new ice maker design keeps the ice in the bottom freezer that is separate from water line in the upper refrigerator. Huge design change that doesn't freeze the waterline. Have been happy for past 2 years.

Does your carafe leak when pouring too? That rubber gasket is not thick enough unless I got a dud.

Yep, bosch's reputation is really good. The dishwashers are good at cleaning. It's just that they are susceptible to failures after year 3 of moisture getting into electronics or latches not engaging. Also, none include the grinder at the bottom like they used to. those prevented clogs and problems, but added to the cost. Bosch isn't the same brand it was 15 years ago.
