You + 8 other people can get the discount. You can't get the discount for other people if you're not on the reservation though

I was tempted by this because I have to fly NYC-SNA at least once a year, maybe twice. Once is during the holidays. I was wondering if they limit free flights then. It looks like they have a free hand in deciding which flights are free. That makes this a dangerous purchase for me. I note it here in case anyone else is in similar shoes.
From Quora: "I bought a Go Wild Pass for the summer for $499 and I could not find ONE flight from Salt Lake City or Las Vegas to ANYWHERE ANYTIME. I contacted support several times and they were not helpful. I told them that if no flights were available from my region with the Go Wild Pass then I would like a refund. But the Go Wild Pass is nonrefundable. No exceptions.
Finally with 17 days left on my pass, one customer support person found me ONE FLIGHT from Salt Lake to Georgia for about $70 that was available for about a week. That's it. That was the only option available to go anywhere all summer long. So I just lost $499. This is just dishonest. If there are only a few Go Wild Pass flights available in certain regions, then they should not offer it in those regions."

How much do you have to hate yourself to fly Frontier more than once?

Can you book with layovers or is that an extra flight you need to be approved for. For example Las Vegas, Denver, Indianapolis, is that one booking or 2?

I've had a GW pass for the past 2 years and have never had an issue booking flights outside of peak travel in summer. Just completing 1 round trip flight would make this pass worth it at $299. I can't imagine the level of incompetence required to not being able to find a single available flight in the span of a year. All my flights during the winter holidays have been fine. The trick is to login and book on midnight 2 days before your flight. For example, if you're planning to fly out Thursday, you should ideally book on Wednesday at midnight. You can check gowild availability for any flight at anytime on the frontier website to get an idea of what gowild availability is on the dates you're planning to fly. Here are the blackout dates

2025: January 1, 4-5, 16-17, 20; February 13-14, 17; March 14-16, 21-23, 28-30; April 4-6, 11-13, 18-21; May 22-23, 26; June 22, 26-29; July 3-7; August 28-29; September 1. October 9-10, 12-13; November 25, 26, 29-30; December 1, 20-23, 26-31.
2026: January 1, 3-4, 15-16, 19; February 12-13, 16; March 13-15, 20-22, 27-29; April 3-6, 10-12; May 21-22, 25; June 25-28; July 2-6, September 3-4, 7; October 8-9, 11-12; November 24-25, 28-30; December 19-24; 26-31.

You can book flights with layovers. It's $15 per leg so if it's 1 stop, you'll pay $30

DO NOT BUY THIS. I purchased this pass through here last year and I can attest it is not worth it. It is nearly impossible to find any GoWild pass as you can't search by that category on the site. You have to put in whatever flight you're looking for and then see if there are any GoWild passes which is a total crapshoot. The few occasions I have found them they are sometimes more expensive than the Discount Den fares. I'm the cheapest cheapskate there is but you are much better off saving the $299 and using it elsewhere.

Thanks for the clarification, I did not know how difficult it would be to get flights, and that list of blackout dates helps.
I went to the website to check gowild availability and there were no flights, for example on Dec 19 for NYC to DEN.
When you say, "he trick is to login and book on midnight 2 days before your flight," I guess such a flight would only be available two days before?
Another person in this thread remarks, "It is nearly impossible to find any GoWild pass as you can't search by that category on the site. You have to put in whatever flight you're looking for and then see if there are any GoWild passes which is a total crapshoot."
Holiday travel still looks tough with those blackout dates. For example in 2026, it's "December 19-24; 26-31." which means flights from mid-December to January 1 with the exception of Christmas Day are out.

So to get a "free" flight, the 48h rule applies. If not and you want more certainty, then they're heavily discounted using the GoWild pass. AFAIK GoWild prices are only published 3 months out, so for December, you'd have to check next month. If you look at November for example, LGA->DEN is $16 on 11/11, 18, 21, 22 and 24. There are some $26 fares and some $39 fares on other days in Nov as well. So, yea. Frontier is not for everybody. The general airport experience is generally...rough, you will meet some VERY interesting people and they will nickel and dime you at every opportunity they get unless you have status (they're currently giving you gold elite for $62). But if all you care about is going from point A to point B at the cheapest possible price in relatively modern airplanes, then it doesn't get better than this honestly

After flying with United on an international flight, they will have to drag me to a seat to fly with them again.

Upvoting cause it's a good deal still IMO if you can use it and you're getting an extra 8 months "free". That said, here are some things to keep in consideration.
  • You can only confirm domestic flights the day before departure, and international flights 10 days before—which makes it very hard to plan ahead unless you pay extra for "early booking."
  • "Last seat availability" is not guaranteed—so you could be stuck if flights are already close to full.
  • There are extensive blackout dates during holidays, long weekends, and peak travel times—basically the periods when most people want to travel.
    • 2025: October 9-10, 12-13; November 25, 26, 29-30; December 1, 20-23, 26-31.
    • 2026: January 1, 3-4, 15-16, 19; February 12-13, 16; March 13-15, 20-22, 27-29; April 3-6, 10-12; May 21-22, 25; June 25-28; July 2-6, September 3-4, 7; October 8-9, 11-12; November 24-25, 28-30; December 19-24; 26-31.
    • 2027: January 1-3, 14-15, 18; February 11-12, 15; March 12-14, 19-21, 26-29; April 2-4.
  • Bags, seat selection, and other add-ons are not included—and Frontier charges fees for nearly everything.
  • You'll still pay taxes, fees, and $0.01 per segment every time you book.
  • Frontier's route network is smaller than major carriers, so your options may be limited depending on your home airport.
  • Since you can't plan far in advance (without fees), it's risky for weddings, business trips, or anything with fixed dates.
