1. Those three pictures are from the same reviewer who still left a 5 star review.
2. Said reviewer admits the fire was caused by faulty wiring in the fan that was plugged into this device, causing a short in the cord.

Fireproof shell! The irony.

Also, where's the sponsored tag? Frontpage my cheeks.

At least 3 pictures in the reviews of fires. Just because you haven't been hit by a drunk driver doesn't mean it won't happen.

If this part of the listing is true:
"Certified by ETL"
That should give some comfort. ETL has the same standards as UL listings.

The reviewer also left a 5 start review saying despite the fire, the plug was untouched, meaning it's fire resistant shell was indeed fire resistant.

Not educated guy here, but some of the usb-c adapters on this site says it's 70w or 100w here but this surge protector/outlet just say usb-c. What's the w that it puts out? Thanks.

The extra plug wall outlet features 4 USB port, USB A port features 5V/2.4A Max output. USB C charging port features 5V/3A MAX. Built in smart technology, detecting charging devices and deliver optimal charging speed automatically, compatible with Kindle and most USB devices. NOTE: The UCB-C port is not Quick Charger 3.0, doesn't support any other devices which need 9~22V charging voltage

Depends on how you define "good" - if you want to burn down your house/apartment this is probably a "good" brand.

That said, I'm in for 1!

Jokes aside, this the typical amazon item - unknown Chinese co. but I tend to agree with the other users - in US homes a breaker will usually trip if something were to go wrong - 6k reviews are generally very positive.

Agreed, if it is actually ETL listed it should be fine. I've had products show up with no marking which is necessary to conform to marking requirements. Their description states that it is certified and one review shows ETL stamped into the namplate / back.

It should be as good as any other recognized laboratory's certified product (UL, ETL, TUV, etc.) They all test to the same standards.

I ordered one.
