This is essentially a dropship company, not a brand. When this batch of bikes are sold out, they rename from "Luckeep" to "Amyet" to another random variation. This means there's little to no support.

These are cheap bikes made with cheap parts that are dangerous and WILL break down (just hopefully not while you're accelerating)...

I think you just called out just about any 3rd party seller out there that is not an authorized dealer.

I just had a similar discussion with someone else, i.e should you buy a ,less known brand $50 faucet from amazon or a $200 faucet from a well known brand.

The discussion happened because in my apartment, I needed a piece for a faucet that was installed about 20 years ago All I had to do was call them and week later I had the part for $10 delivered. But q is: if I was buying a faucet, would I buy a $50 one or a $200 one... that also depends, but it's a longer discussion.

In the end, it comes down to what you want. Lowest price on a OEM bike, or a likely same bike with a brand name for 30-40% higher with warranty. This would be a decision each person has to make for themselves, of course

The difference is a faucet will get you wet if it malfunctions, whereas an electric bike will klll you

I understand your point, obv, but that gets us into a much different area of discussion, IMO.

I've bought many bikes off of Alibaba and put hundreds of miles on the bikes with no issues. This fear mongering is over the top as usual.

Luckeep might just be a dropship company, but so is Lectric which started out the same way. Luckeep has been around for several years, and has a pretty active facebook group with factory rep answering questions..

I picked up one of their X1 Lite in the last deal and while it's not top quality, it's a great mid tier bike and the discount price reflects that. You can compare to top brand names all day, but you can never get those top brand names at these prices.

This X2 looks to be the latest design with goodies like toqrue sensor, hydraulic brakes, UL certified 20AH Samsung batteries. Wish I bought this instead of the X1!

I bought this bike off a previous deal last month. Put over 100 problem free miles on it so far. Perfect for commuting 10-20 miles a day. It honestly seems like a killer deal. Its not perfect, but is well built. I have had many cheap bikes over the years, and you can can tell when they're made with sub par components, like cheapo v brakes, plastic components, weak forks, thin aluminum frames, etc. This bike doesn't have any of that and so far seems solid. My biggest complaint is that the brakes are soft, meaning you need more braking distance. Even if it only lasts a year or so, I think its a steal. As with any budget buy, you are going to need to be more comfortable with knowing how the bike works and doing your own bike maintenance to prevent any issues, but YouTube is your friend here. Happy riding.

I'd like to think that a brand that is trying to build or maintain a name for themselves has more reason to build a quality bike and stand behind it. It could be wishful thinking. But there's a pretty wide range in quality of bike parts, and I have a feeling "Luckeep" would just use the absolute cheapest they can get their hands on

What the heck are you doing with your bikes where a busted chain/motor/etc is going to get you killed?

I bought a amyet a month or two ago. already put 100 miles on it and it's been solid the whole time. not a single issue. basic bike parts, wheels, shifters, brakes, axels, bearings, are easy to maintain. if the motor dies that would suck but you can replace those too
