Not quiet the same, but we use a Garden Auger in a regular drill and it will break up rock and soil like crazy. I just hate buying a single use tool when I could use something we already have.

They're missing the big alternative audience: change the rotation head to self "back scratcher" mode. Perhaps hard rubber tips....

I like this for raised beds etc to rotate every season.
I bought this at $100 and missed return date. Thus had to keep it.

Its full functionality depends on one spring which is not good in my view.
Other wise I like and use it.
