While I don't disagree with your comment, its very likely possible too. I haven't heating issues with my C5 though..

C5 has 20% more nits than the C4, and does use more electricity so its not farfetched to think some of them would over heat.

This is an decent deal for an OLED however the prices have been around this much for some time now (search slickdeals). BF might be insane

I'm struggling to find anything on google that's mentioning overheating on the C5 that's even barely widespread. Maybe one buyer told him their's was overheating, but I can't find anything personally.

LG had the c5 65 inch with free soundbar and wall mount and installation for around the same price until Labor Day. So not that great of a deal
