It's good if you can keep it cool.

Thinking of picking this up as a secondary drive in a gaming laptop. Anyone know how this compares to the 4TB variants of the Samsung 990 Evo Plus and WD Black SN7100? They're all in the $220ish range right now and seem to have similar ratings for read/write speed, but I know there are a lot of other factors to consider for NVME SSDs.

Just get a regular 4TB. You don't need DRAM in a gaming laptop.

Just pay a little more and get WD or Samsung.

You should consider SSDs that stay cooler under load for your gaming laptop. I'm sure it gets warm enough already like any gaming laptop would so getting a cooler running SSD would be pretty important IMO. SN7100 is one of the best for laptops due to it running cooler and using less electricity than any of the other top performing gen 4 SSDs.
