student/teacher discount gets you the same 10% off as well. The same configuration but with a 5070 ti is $1350 which seems reasonable.

Waiting to get the email 10% to see if it stacks on top of student/teacher discount

I am not sure if you can stack both of those coupons/codes together.

yeah I'm going to assume you can't but I've been surprised before and I don't see the student discount entered as an actual promo code so it's possible.I'm going to edit my post (if I get the email code) to update if it's stackable. I think the price would be too good if it was possible

I was looking at the microcenter Power spec G755 yesterday thats $1799 with a 9800X3D and an AMD 9070XT and 32GB RAM. I don't love that the Intel proc in this Alienware build is not overclockable and only 16GB RAM, but even with that caveat this is still the no brainer buy between the two because of the 5080 right?

interesting. the code I received via email says the items in my cart are not eligible for this code. I tried signing out to remove the student discount to see if it is blocking the email code and it is still unhappy with the cart.I have the exact spec from your post in the cart. let me play around with it some more

Does the motherboard on this have two free DIMM slots so you can add another 16GB of DDR5 to it?

Edit: looking at the pictures, it looks like there aren't any free DIMM slots.

At $1755 with a RTX 5080, besides upgrading RAM and storage, any other things you might think this is not worth getting please? TIA guys!

I'm personally going with the 5070ti deal for nearly 2 grand I don't want to feel the need to have to upgrade a pre built on arrival and a 5080 is barely any better

Well the 5070 ibuypower deal was $1099. The 5080 is about 50% faster. Plus 1000w PSU and Core ultra 7 instead of 5 and 750w PSU, this deal is very much worth it.
