Good to know and good price, though this is for golden flaxseed which some people view as better or preferred

Both the golden and brown have a prop65 lead warning on the back of the bag (easier to see in the photos for the brown).

Walmart flax used to be my goto. Previously sourced from Canada. My most recent pack from Walmart was from India and the quality is not as good.

Yup. Real answer: Once Ca passes a law, statute, or regulation, ANY .. and about anything, an entire gvmt structure grows up around it and must never die. That means pushing it, updating it and ever finding ways to remain relevant. Also strives to expand itself if any way possible. Environmental issues are a gold mine, being subject to vague studies and easily manipulated stats. CA Warning labels are even less useful than expiration dates.
