Personally, I would much prefer the 18" for $249. Has a more powerful motor and double the included battery for only $30 more.

Thought this would be better for someone who needed something lighter and easier to handle.

I have the 16" and as someone pointed out is great for lighter work. Is safer and less tiring than gas chainsaw, especially for limb trimming and awkward places. Is surprisingly powerful for decent size cuts and chain lasts for ages. I would buy the 20" if it were on sale, to replace my Husqvarna 460.
