No tax for AT&T when paying with gift cards, at least in CA
Yeah, TMo and some other carriers have sales tax. TMo for a couple years, now. I had a list I'll have to dig up. For a brief period, <$50 TMo didn't but that was more of a temporary glitch.
* Last year, Sept:
$40/$50 AT&T Prepaid - no taxes or fees
$40/$50 Verizon Prepaid - no taxes or fees
$40/$50 Cricket - no taxes or fees
$45/$50 Boost Mobile - no taxes or fees
$40 T-Mobile Prepaid - no taxes or fees
$50 T-Mobile Prepaid - taxes and e911 fee
$40/$199 Tracfone - taxes and e911 fee
$40 Total by Verizon - taxes and e911 fee
$50 Total by Verizon - No taxes or fees
$40/$50 Simple Prepaid - No taxes or fees

I need to refill two of the att prepaid $300 annual plans in the next month. First $100+100 order went through fine. Anyone know how many times you can do the deal online? I think last year with the 5 off $50, I could only do two per 24hr period (so it took me the whole 6 days) and any additional would get cancelled...

You don't have to split it up like the 5 off 50 deal.You can add 4x $100 for example and get $20 off.In your case might as well do 2x 300
