Most of the negative reviews don't understand that to save battery, the cube isn't on at all times. You need to pick it up, then a light comes on, THEN you can connect to it. The instructions clearly state this.
So many of the reviews are like "IT WONT CONNECT", I open the app and go to Bluetooth and it's not in the list!!! Just literally move the cube. It's motion sensitive. Once you move it, it "wakes up" and instantly appears in the Bluetooth list.

They're pretty bad, actually. The default reviews show some other model and you need to go to Amazon and filter for just this cube.

Bought it last time, it stopped connecting to app after day 2, even when it was connecting it was not really good. Also it's not as smooth as few magnetic one on Amazon.

You do have to go to Amazon and then filter the Color so that it is "Connectedx - Bluetooth Enabled". Otherwise, you are getting a bunch of other, different products.

Lots of bad reviews that say it frequently disconnects (different than the 'it won't connect' problem), the stickers wear off, and the cube itself is low-quality, catching while turning and worse for speed-solving than the previous version.

Also, looks like you need to create an account to use the app.

Can I still rearrange the stickers and deny doing it to others?

The reviews on Woot are for the original Rubik's cube, not this item. It's disappointing that Woot would allow a product to have a link to reviews for a different product.

As to everyone who is talking about the actual reviews, I couldn't find any. There are reviews for a "Connected" NOT "ConnectedX". There's no reason to believe that these two would be the same. In fact, it bodes poorly for this product that it looks like a copy of the "Connected" cube. It's likely to be AT BEST the same or, likely, much worse.

Still, I bought one. I used to be able to do the cube in the 80s. I've forgotten how to solve it. I don't need the cube to last years. If it connects and last a few weeks, that should be enough to teach me how to do it again.

P.S. When I used to do it before, I never got below a minute. My understanding is that the techniques are different now and it shouldn't be too difficult to get it to under 30 seconds.

Good luck getting to 30 seconds. Techniques aren't much better, but cubes have gotten much faster. To get to 30 second you have to switch from basic algorithms to memorizing the 30+ combinations for steps.

I got the 4 square cube. I feel dumb that I still can't get the last 2 cubes correct.

I learned how to solve the cube then went too long without doing it and forgot how. It's not like riding a bike, lol.

In order to know that techniques aren't better, you'd have to be familiar with both. I used the layer-by-layer method back in 1982-3. Do you have some technical information about why the modern methods wouldn't be faster? Because the internet seems to say that modern methods are faster, if not necessarily easier.
