Expensive, but worth the money. I'd gone through half a dozen cheaper options before buying a Fluke, which has been going strong since 2011

I was saving up for a Fluke meter and waiting for quite a while for one to go on sale, but ended up buying 2 KAIWEETS meters (1 clamp style and 1 feature rich multimeter) for around $100 total. I'm not an electrician by trade, and after using these other 2 meters a fair bit, I'm not sure I can justify the Fluke price tag. Is a Fluke meter really 3 times better and will it last 3 times longer than a mid range meter? I have $10 meters that I've owned for 25 years still ticking...

Anyone know if this meter will measure start up surge, or in-rush I think they call it? I'm no electrician but discovered my solar charger was limited to 4000w surge but my portable AC unit must surge over that because it cause the solar charger to cut out. I was trying to figure out exactly how much this portable AC surges, because the info isn't available anywhere I can find. Thanks!
