The Motorola TurboPower 68W charger uses USB Power Delivery (USB PD) for charging USB-C devices. It supports USB PD 3.0 and Qualcomm Quick Charge (QC) 4.0+ technology, which includes PPS (Programmable Power Supply) for dynamic voltage adjustments during charging. The charger comes with a 6.5A USB-C to USB-C cable that supports these protocols. However, some reports note that Motorola uses a proprietary extension of PPS to provide around 11 volts at 6.5 amps, which is slightly outside the standard USB PD PPS specifications. So, effectively, it does use a form of PD PPS, but with some proprietary modifications by Motorola for optimized performance[2][6][8][9].
Is this compatible with Samsung 45w Super Fast Charging 2.0?
Yes, the Motorola TurboPower 68W charger is compatible with Samsung's 45W super fast charging. Both chargers use USB Power Delivery (PD) with PPS technology, and the Motorola charger provides up to 68W output, so it can deliver the 45W charging rate required by Samsung devices supporting 45W super fast charging. To achieve maximum 45W super fast charging speeds on Samsung phones, a compatible 5A USB-C cable is also needed, which the Motorola charger includes or supports. Therefore, the Motorola 68W charger can fast charge Samsung devices that support 45W charging without issues[1][2][3][4][5].
Was not the one that downvoted you FYI.
My Edge 2024, using a common 67w GaN/PD charger, maxes out at something like 55w, so trivial difference IMO. But if you wanted MAX charging performance for your Moto phone, this is it.
wattage varies widely due to some proprietary system of theirs alone,
briefly at 24w then 19w then 15w then 12w then 8w and so on till 100%
so it was no faster than my 20w anker nano which spends most of the
charge in the 12-14w range, or about the same 90 minutes from 20%.
so if you expect miracles here over paying for moto's own AC/DC brick
you will be disappointed, so ignore comments about "the full" anything,
it's marketing BS, and probably why these 68w are still sitting unsold.
i know this thread is "Lenovo" but it's the same company as Motorola.
and yes, i have a high quality 4k capable fully pinned usb-c cable.
i leave my 80/20 rule disabled in android because i only recharge my
phone twice a week because i learned how to disable all the crapware
and "services" that is running down your battery with stuff you don't use
and may keep getting reenabled every time there is a "security" update.
