Native 4K would be nice, but 1600 (~1440 with better non-widescreen support) is fine until plugged into a monitor. I'd take 1600 @240Hz OLED over 4K 60/120 LED all day long
Good contender as desktop replacement that will sometimes be used on the go?
Few compromises with this device:
1) Acer does not typically allow undervolting on their newer devices, and I have not found a way to undervolt on this. You can limit CPU power but that can affect performance.
2) Screen runs at 240 hz by default. There is a way to get it to run at a lower hz, but it takes a bit of work.
3) Case is a bit less premium than other options in this range, in my opinion. It is mostly aluminum but it doesn't have the sturdiness of the Asus G series, Legion 7, etc.
Otherwise, this is a great device. Direct competitor on price is the HP Omen Max with 5070 TI, which runs around the same price when it hits sale with OLED, RAM upgrade, and storage upgrade. Omen is a bit sturdier from what I've heard and runs the 5070 TI at full power, but it is heavier and bulkier. Legion 5 has gotten within striking distance of this as well.
