Not if you need it. I bought one years ago for $100 different color and it's the best. Good close shave. Looks like inflation increased the sale price.

Anyone got any comparisons with the Remington F5? I've been using it for a few years, it's fine. Just wondering if there's something out there that's better at shaving during the first pass so that few multiple passes are needed

How does this perform in comparison to the Braun from Costco? I have been very disappointed with the Braun so far.

They never do. There is no reason for a charging dock. For me, this is the best shaver period. I always get them when they are on sale.

How is this compared to Phillips / Norelco?
I bought my Dad a Philips from Costco to replace the same brand he had for about 20 years, except he hates the new one. So I've been looking for a good deal on these.

Am I seeing it wrong, or are the other Panasonics virtually identical except for the color, which costs an extra hundred?

Tempted at this as I have the same one and love it but it could use new blades and foil which cost an arm and a leg.

Same here, in red. Plus I already have a $109 new (black) backup in the drawer. Still tempted to buy another at about the cost of a blade replacement. The only shaver I have ever liked. BTW, the red looks great IRL, not gauche at all.

I returned this and had buddy get a japan version Lamdash Pro 5 (L580U) which has cleaner and usbC.

I actually think the design of Arc5 provides better shave

Yeah mine is blue but same model. Never did blades or screen but again too much money for the parts. Might as well buy new at that point.
