Just a FYI for those that do not know; 16ga is a very low rated extension cord. This is at best used for led lights and other low power items.

14ga, IMO, is the lowest I would use and I prefer 12ga cords myself.

If you want to be safe you really should go with 1/0 gauge. It's not that much more expensive.

Great Extension cord, 3 space heaters and a mini fridge off of it ! The surge suppresser is kind of cheap and I should upgrade it at some point but for now it works fine! https://imgur.com/a/CAiwVOo

Basically speaker wire uses this gauge wire. Hmm. I wouldn't trust that at all. It can't even handle the full load that a typical socket can handle

I have 0 gauge connecting the terminals to an AGM 12v battery and an inverter, it's like half an inch thick. I think you mean like 6awg or something like that

You shouldn't run all that power consumption off such a small gauge cord. Its gonna heat up and be a potential fire hazard. Recommend 12awg for what your connecting

So the listed 1625 Watts is false? Maybe half that?

I have a 2kw generator that I try to run at half or less load. Will two of these be fine running into the house for fridge, 5kbtu window unit ac, Internet stuff and lights?
