Title here says Extreme. On eBay, it is not the Extreme version.

$419 for the extreme is still not bad. I'd bite if I didn't have a steam deck and a laptop with the 7840 already.

$30 for the extreme is worth it.

I had it for a bit before returning it for the Legion Go instead. I've had the SteamDeck, Ally, and the Legion Go. Ally is sort of in the middle between the 2 other devices, SD offers better ergo, software experience out of the box, and lower base price than the Ally, while Legion Go has bigger screen, detachable controllers, and 2 USB4 ports (which is huge if you ever want to get into using it as a desktop docked with an eGPU).

you can get that on open box on bestbuy all the time. better than refurb, for the same price. seen the z1e for 330 on the lowest openbox quality, too, if youre feeling frisky. so i don't know... decent deal? maybe. Decidedly not the best deal around though.

I picked up the NIB Ally z1 Extreme from BB with the Nebraska Furniture Market price match. It was a good deal, the handheld is great (coming from OG Steam Deck LCD), and it plays modern games really well and the screen is very nice.

If you can swing it, and the price ends up being accurate, pick up the new announced Xbox ROG Ally X ($900). Otherwise you'll buy this, then the bigger DIY battery ($150), then some cases ($50), some other mods ($50-100), and a fast-charge battery pack ($150) and you'll end up pretty close to the new Xbox one without having the Z2Extreme (better low-wattage gaming, but top end is same as Z1X), 24GB system ram (vs 16GB), and the more ergonomic handles (the new Xbox OS hopefully should be retroactive on older ROG Ally consoles).

What damn battery pack are you referring to that you think you need?

This hasn't been true at best buy for many months. Base price for Z1 extreme in similar condition is over $500. Right now open box excellent is 571 and new is 650.

Wow I guess they ran out of supply. They were available so long for a good deal

one more comment, the SD card slot is likely to fail on these because the slot has temperature-sensitive fuses. The first few times they fail, they come back when it cools off, but over time they stop coming back. There are some good reddit threads on how to potentially replace or bypass the fuses, but just plan on replacing the SSD with a larger one rather than using SD cards long term.

Don't bite more than you can chew. You have enough ways to enjoy.. steam deck and pc. It becomes hoarding at some point.
