GPU sales getting desperate lol. Dropping prices like a prom dress. When they hit round $500-600 they might be worth it, with the game😂

What's up with the 5000 series? Noticed all the 4090's got snatched up off woot last night but the 5080's are still hanging round. Is the performance bad or something?

No issues with performance — it's excellent. However, the majority of people are now waiting for the upgraded models, such as the RTX 5080 SUPER, which are expected to offer improved RAM and overall performance.

4090 isn't produced anymore. there probably wasn't much stock.

Be foolish to drop 1k on this when the 5080 super is just around the corner.

I am now waiting for a reasonably priced 32gb ram GPU for don't really know what reason… my games work just fine with my old 3050 (no I am not a high end gamer who needs 240 refresh rate on 4k 😂😂)
Maybe I will use this for hosting LLMs… but then again it will take me 5 years to recoup the cost of just using openAI tokens in the cost alone of the GPU… can't think of any real reason now… hmmm…

Some guy last week was trying to convince me his 2080ti is "still selling for $1,000"... He's since dropped the price 5 times and it's still on the Facebook Marketplace for $450, which is still way too high.

The scalper pain is fun to watch! woot

Nothing has even been confirmed about the super edition if anything maybe by Dec? Then scalpers are gonna take it making it harder and by the time you get the super the 6000 series is around the corner and also by the time you need 24gb the 8000 series is going to come out.

worse scenario is when you realize you cant get a super coz they way overpriced or oos then this goes back 1300. then you gotta wait another year for prices to go down. but who knows, this might stick to msrp. dive in now or dive deeper later either way no one wins
