I click on filter -> kids sail free... and tried 3 different itineraries and it still wasn't kids sail free... why does their website stink. Last time I tried ncl website it was the same. The options are there they just don't work. Am I being dumb?

Not bad. Came out to $1450 for a 7 day Mexico cruise departing from San Diego for 2 adults, 2 kids.

Which cruise and date is that? Most things I checked is like $3500. 3rd and 4th guests are like $700 each. Not sure if the promo applied correctly.

I clicked the banner on the front page. Then chose mexican riviera cruise from San Diego Dec 13 - 20. Added the kids as 3rd and 4th guests with the appropriate birthdays to show that they're kids. Also removed the open bar and specialty dining options.

Here's a screenshot with the breakdown and dates.

Cruise lines run non-stop "limited time" "special" cruise deal gimmicks. Use a price tracker/aggregator site to soft through the noise and see actual changes.

The
1. 70% off 2nd guest
2. 3rd & 4th guest free
3. some version of CruiseFirst
promos are always there.
CruiseFirst availability can vary a bit I think. either pay $150 get $300, or in this case pay $250 get $500.
note that the cruise first promo requires the reservation be 120+ days in the future and a minimum of 6 day sailing.

OP knows this. This is not special.

So is a lot of other things. But I'm willing to bet there is something that you're contributing that is harmful to the environment.
