This is an excellent price for a rod that has been on the market for quite a while and has a strong reputation, especially since we are deep into the active season here in the US.

Note that this is a different rod from the catfish special.

The 7 year warranty on a rod is far better than what you typically get for fishing rods, even much more upmarket ones. Technically this is a gray market buy, but the manufacturer is known for having a liberal track record when it comes to claim approvals IIUC.
