Thanks for sharing this.

Asking a question here in the hopes that some kind soul has similar experiences. Love DT, have about 8 pairs.

I love the "Light Hikers" and I wear a 9.5 in nearly all shoes.

The trouble is that Medium DT socks are for 8-9.5 shoe sizes. When I put them on each morning, they are quite snug. Not uncomfortable, but it takes a fe minutes to stretch them a smidge to then be comfortable all day. Here is my predicament. These are great quality and I love them, but still pricey, and Im nervous to get a Large becuase I dont want it to be too big and then have to pay return shipping or something like that. I just wonder if a Large would be a better sock for me, but Im too cheap to find out! Plus, I'd only be truly be able to tell if the fit is better after washing and wearing them, which would void all my returns.
I also wonder if i would be a large in the Midweight socks and a Medium in the Lightweight ones.

It's not a big deal, I know this is a problem of priveldge, but when I find a premium product I love, I just want them to be perfect! Thanks for any insight you can offer!

buy both sizes through rei and return the one that doesn't fit is what I usually do for something like this. if you have a store somewhere nearby though

Any idea if you still receive REI member rewards at the Labor Day sale pricing? Guessing no. Thanks

REI will also be offering 25% DT socks during their Labor Day sale starting Aug 22. Free shipping $60+ or no minimum for REI Co-op members. Or ship to store for free.

Buy the large. I'm 10.5 & buy large and sometime XL depending on the DT sock. They are tight because their threads are 10s as many as some cheaper socks. They have a tight weave. Definitely the best socks I've ever worn.

Thanks! Snagged three pairs of Larges to get free shipping. Appreciate the assist, and if they dont fit the bill, I'll eat the return fee. Cheers!

Wish DT would make toe socks. I have developed a sensitivity to my toes being smushed in socks and small toe box shoes. Prefer the freedom of movement with toe socks in wide toe box shoes and don't see any that are wool with lifetime warranty.

Only did a comparison on the one DT sock I buy, but...

- This pricing beats REI's future Labor Day sale by ~$4.
- However, for one pair of socks, shipping is ~$4, whereas an REI member has free shipping.
- Neither participates with any cashback sites.
- In the end, both sales only beat current Amazon pricing by ~$1.

Sooo, it's almost as if they did the math. LOL.

Thanks for running these numbers, but when it comes to the Amazon comparison, are you sure you're comparing the same socks? Micro crew lightweight socks, for example are $25 on Amazon. This is the same sticker price, before discount, as GoBros/REI. Same for ultra-lightweight no-show ($18). However, for a select few colors and sizes of a particular sock type, sometimes Amazon sells for a dollar or two cheaper than the GB/REI sticker price.

It's pretty straightforward.
