The color sticks just might be my favorite version of the frxion pens. Still prone to stopping working at random with no way to resurrect (that I have found) But overall a nicer writing experience (flowy ink) than the refillable type of frixion pens and not quite as fussy in terms of touching the "wrong" surface with the pen tip and then not working after that. This is subjective, of course, and some people don't care for the color sticks. But I've seen a number of rocketbook users mention that they really do like the color sticks.
I do wish they didn't include the light gray color in these packs. Not many uses for that color since it is so light. Perhaps to be used on dark/black paper, but I'm not even sure this type of pen would work like that.
