helps keep all your devices connected while only having to go through Public Wifi Connectivity Portals once. use case: you can purchase wifi on a plane or say at a hotel where it's usually device limited, and purchase thru the travel router's portal. then you'd have wifi access to say your laptop and phone.

The most important function is an easy setup WAN, to create a private network for your devices based on a public network (wired or wifi). The travel route can be a protection layer or connect to some devices that unable to connect to public wifi, such as cleaning robot/ thermostat/smart tv.

you can clone your HOME SSID , so that when you use public wifi at an airport or hotel, all of your devices auto-connect to the internet without additional setup or authorization (public wifi requires a consent screen and recording the client station mac address)

You bring your cleaning robot and own thermostat when you travel?

This would be a good option if you're traveling and using the public WiFi at the airport or hotels, but I rather use a pocket WiFi if I'm traveling out of the country so I can use data plans on the go.
